30-Day Product Evaluation

We want you to feel comfortable about trying and buying products from SCIDYNE. Therefore, we offer a no-risk trial for initial, low quantity, evaluation purchases. Items purchased for evaluation can be returned within 30 days for a full refund less shipping charges. Items must be returned complete and in original saleable condition. SCIDYNE will cancel our invoice, refund by check or issue credit to your credit card within 10 days after receipt of returned merchandise. An R.M.A. number must be obtained from our sales department to expedite the return process.

How to Order

Purchase orders can be placed directly by calling our courteous sales department Monday thru Friday 8am-5pm EST Phone: (781)-293-3059 ext. 311. You may also E-mail, FAX or mail in your order anytime. Orders placed by 2pm EST for in stock items are generally shipped the same day. When ordering please specify the items you are ordering, our stock number, the quantities you require, payment option, your internal purchase order reference number and any special instructions such as shipping preferences. At the time of order, our sales department will confirm the availability and price of each item. At your request, we can provide you with the carrier's tracking number so that you can follow the shipment's delivery.

All purchase orders are subject to the terms and conditions set forth by SCIDYNE. Any special terms and conditions must be agreed to by SCIDYNE at the time the purchase order is placed. SCIDYNE does not agree to terms and conditions that are set forth after the purchase order is placed. Any Confirming Purchase Orders will not be acknowledged except for quantity, price and delivery. Any purchase order modifications must be approved by SCIDYNE in writing or will not be considered to be in effect.

Payment Options

Accepted Credit Cards We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, prepayment, C.O.D. , or EFT/Wire-Transfer. When using EFT/Wire-Transfer, please contact the SCIDYNE sales department for transaction details. Net-30 credit terms are also available to qualified domestic companies and organizations. International customers must use a credit card, EFT/Wire-Transfer or prepayment with U.S.A. funds drawn on a U.S.A. bank.

EFT/Wire-Transfer payments will incur an additional $50 fee to cover the costs the two banks charge for the service. Please contact the SCIDYNE sales department for transaction details.

Shipping Options

Shipping Options Items are shipped FOB Pembroke MA, USA, via UPS ground and are insured unless otherwise specified. Other shipping options include 2-Day UPS Blue, Overnight UPS Red, Federal Express, and DHL. Shipping costs are determined and added into the final price. Customers can have shipping costs charged to their own carrier accounts if requested at time of order placement. International customers may choose between available services from UPS, Federal Express or DHL. In most cases, SCIDYNE will prepare the necessary export/import documentation. Any import fees, taxes or Customs requirements are the sole responsibility of the customer.

Back-ordered Items

We try to keep a reasonable stock of all our products available for immediate shipment. In the event that an item is temporarily out of stock, it will be backordered and shipped when available. The customer has the choice of shipping those items which are currently available immediately or holding the entire order until it can be shipped complete.

Minimum Orders

Domestic Customers

SCIDYNE requires all orders to be $25 or more. Orders totaling less than this amount will be charged this minimum. Shipping costs and any applicable taxes do not apply toward the total.

European Union Customers

Orders placed and being shipped to locations within the European Union must have a combined value greater than €150 Euros. Shipping costs, taxes, or other applicable fees do not apply toward the total.

Scheduled Orders

Scheduled orders allow a customer to spread the quantity of items in a single purchase order across multiple pre-defined delivery dates. The advantages are quantity discounts, guaranteed prices, and assured product availability when needed. The request for scheduled shipments must be made at the time of order placement. We accept orders with completion of deliveries scheduled up to one year in advance. Any request in changes to a schedule must be approved by the SCIDYNE sales department. In no case can a schedule be interrupted more than twice or by more than 90 days total. Any rescheduling requires 45 day notice.

Order Cancellation

Purchase orders for small quantities of standard products which were in stock and at the quantity requested at the time the order was placed can be cancelled prior to shipment without incurring any re-stocking charge or other penalty. Custom manufactured items and large orders are Non-Cancelable and Non-Returnable.

Net-30 Credit

Net-30 credit is available to qualified domestic businesses and organizations. Terms greater than 30 days will not be considered under any circumstance. SCIDYNE reserves the right to deny or revoke credit terms to any company or organization for any reason.

Any balance not paid within 30 days is subject to a late fee of 1.50% per month (Annual rate of 18%). In addition, late payments may result in the immediate termination of credit terms and the suspension of future scheduled shipments.

To apply for Net-30 credit please provide the following information:

  1. A completed and signed SCIDYNE credit application. Please contact our sales department for the required form.
  2. Four or more verifiable trade references. Please include phone, FAX, E-Mail, full address and name of contact persons.
  3. Banking information including account number(s), branch, address, phone and contact person.
  4. Your DUN and Bradstreet number, if available.

Due to the potential time and expense involved in determining credit worthiness any request must be accompanied by an initial Purchase Order of $250 or more. Evaluation purchases can not be used to open a Net-30 account. Please allow up to 45 days for processing a credit application.

Sales Tax

For orders shipped within Massachusetts, customers must pay sales tax unless there is a valid Massachusetts Exempt Use Certificate (form ST-12) or Sales Tax Resale Certificate (form ST-4) on file with SCIDYNE before the sale. The necessary tax will be calculated and automatically added into the final price. Customers outside Massachusetts are responsible for paying any applicable sales tax or fee your state or region requires.

Quantity Discounts

Quantity discounts are generally available for most items placed on a single order and are calculated automatically when applicable. Discounts are also available for scheduled OEM orders up to one year in advance. Contact our sales department for details.

Return of Merchandise

An R.M.A. number must be obtained from our Sales Department to expedite the return process. All returns have to be completed within 30 days from date of shipment from SCIDYNE. The customer is responsible for shipping, insurance, and any other applicable cost necessary to return merchandise. SCIDYNE will cancel our invoice, refund by check, or issue credit to your credit card within 10 business days after receipt of returned merchandise.

Returns will be accepted only with prior approval from SCIDYNE and may be subject to a 15% re-stocking charge. Original shipping and related costs incurred by the customer are non-refundable. Custom or large orders are Non-Cancelable and Non-Returnable. Items determined to be used, substituted, modified, damaged, or incomplete are not returnable. SCIDYNE reserves the right to refuse any return.

Items purchased under our 30-day product evaluation policy may be returned without incurring any re-stocking charge or other penalty, less shipping costs. Evaluation items must be returned complete and in original working condition.

Warranty and Repairs

Most SCIDYNE products are warranted against manufacturing defects for a period of one year from date of shipment. During this period defective items will be repaired or replaced at our option and at no cost to the customer. Specific limitations and conditions apply. Normal wear-and-tear and replaceable items such as fuses are not covered under warranty. Customers may be billed an evaluation fee and return shipping costs for items covered under warranty and sent to SCIDYNE for evaluation but found to be not defective. For actual warranty information, please consult the warranty explanation found within the user's manual of each product.

For items which are not covered by a warranty, the customer will be contacted with an estimate of the repair or replacement cost prior to any work being performed. A non-refundable $50 evaluation fee will be charged towards each item received for repair which is not covered by warranty. The evaluation fee is applied toward the final repair cost. SCIDYNE reserves the right to determine if items are covered by a warranty or not.

Product Customization

Sometimes special requirements are best met by modifying one of our standard products. We will engineer and manufacture the item for you. All documentation including but not limited to schematics, Bill-Of-Materials, PCB Manufacturing data, manuals, test procedures, and software, remains the property of SCIDYNE. Commitment to Long-Term Availability

SCIDYNE is committed to providing long-term availability of all our products. We work closely with our vendors to insure component availability. Whenever possible we design using components that are available from multiple sources. In situations where a component does become obsolete we strive to design a form, fit, and function replacement.
